Bachelor Thesis: "Commoning Games"

Digital Games have become a vital part of our everyday life and penetrate even the most intimate parts of our society. They accompany us from very early childhood all the way to advanced education. Digital Games are thus a highly political subject that needs to be investigated.
The thesis thus attempts to do this by critically looking at the case of the World of Warcraft Private Server: Nostalrius and connecting the case with the ongoing and highly political debate of digital commons struggling against the concept of intellectual property.
By attempting this comparative investigation the paper attempts to question the constant process of primitive accumulation on a platform that theoretically allows sharing of information at near zero marginal costs.
